Finding an American-style seafood boil in Seoul is not always easy, especially one that serves lobster, crab, prawns, corn, potatoes, sausages, pasta, rice, and classic comfort-food sides together as one enormous shared meal. That is why I wanted to try Show Me The Crab in Jamsil. The restaurant is often recommended as one of Seoul's best seafood-boil restaurants, particularly among people who enjoy the American Louisiana-style experience.
We reserved ahead through Catchtable, visited later in the evening, and entered without waiting. There were three of us, so we ordered the Boiling Crab Trio for ₩134,000. The set included lobster, snow crab legs, large prawns, fried rice, pasta, corn, broccoli, potatoes, sausages, bread rolls, mac and cheese, coleslaw, macaroni salad, and pickled radish. It was also my first time eating lobster.
To me, it tasted like an enormous, richer prawn. The meat was thick, juicy, tender, and especially easy to enjoy because the staff opened and prepared the shells for us. That preparation service ended up being one of my favorite parts of the entire meal. Here is everything you need to know before visiting Show Me The Crab in Jamsil.
1. Why Show Me The Crab Is Called One of Seoul's Best Seafood Boils
♡ An American-style Louisiana seafood boil in Jamsil where the seafood arrives saucy, juicy, and prepared so you can eat it without struggling with every shell.

Show Me The Crab is an American-style seafood boil restaurant in Jamsil, close to Songridan-gil, Seokchon Lake, Lotte World, and Lotte World Tower. The restaurant serves large seafood sets covered in your chosen sauce with sides such as corn, potatoes, broccoli, sausages, fried rice, pasta, bread, and salad.
What makes it stand out is the restaurant's “No hands, just enjoy” approach. The staff cut open difficult shells, prepare the crab, lobster, and prawns, and arrange everything so you can focus on eating instead of spending the whole meal fighting with seafood tools.
The restaurant is on the second floor at 17 Songpa-daero 48-gil, 2F, Songpa-gu, Seoul, around 523 meters from Seokchon Station Exit 1. Check Catchtable or Naver Map for the latest opening hours before visiting.
Because it is already close to Seokchon Lake, Lotte World Mall, Seoul Sky, and Songridan-gil, it works especially well as part of a full Jamsil day. Planning to stay nearby? Read my guide to where to stay in Seoul.

3. What We Ordered: The ₩134,000 Boiling Crab Trio
♡ The set is listed for two to three people, and it was enough food for all three of us.

We ordered the Boiling Crab Trio for ₩134,000, or roughly $93 USD using an estimated exchange rate of ₩1,440 per dollar. Split between three people, that is about ₩44,700, or around $31 each, before drinks.
The set included:
- Lobster, snow crab legs, and large prawns
- Fried rice and Cajun-style pasta
- Corn, potatoes, broccoli, and sausages
- Bread rolls, mac and cheese, and macaroni salad
- Coleslaw and pickled radish
The rice and pasta absorbed the seafood-boil sauce, while the vegetables, sausage, and bread made the meal much more filling than seafood alone. You can also choose your sauce and spice level, so ask the staff for a recommendation if your group has different spice tolerances.

4. The Best Part? They Debone and Prepare Everything for You
♡ Instead of spending the whole meal cracking shells, the staff prepare the crab, lobster, and prawns so the seafood is much easier to eat.
The most memorable part was how much work the staff did to make the seafood easy to eat. At many crab restaurants, a large part of the meal is spent cracking shells, pulling apart legs, and searching for small pieces of meat.
Here, the staff opened the shells, separated difficult pieces, and arranged the seafood so it could be shared around the table. The lobster and crab legs were easier to lift out, and the prawns were also prepared so the meal felt far less messy.
This is especially useful for first-time lobster or crab eaters, families, groups, and anyone who wants the dramatic seafood-boil experience without spending the entire dinner fighting with shells.

5. What the Lobster, Crab, and Prawns Actually Tasted Like
♡ This was my first time eating lobster, and it tasted like an enormous, richer prawn with tender, juicy meat.
The lobster was the part I was most excited to try. The easiest way I can describe it is as a much larger, richer prawn with tender, juicy meat. The crab was sweeter and more delicate, while the prawns had the familiar sweetness and firm texture I already loved.
The menu offers Cajun, Butter Garlic, and Lemon Pepper sauces. The Cajun option is the restaurant's signature Louisiana-inspired choice, while Butter Garlic is milder and Lemon Pepper tastes brighter and more peppery.
One of my favorite surprises was watching the staff cut open the bread rolls and fill them with sausage, coleslaw, and seafood-boil sauce. It created a small sandwich that balanced the rich sauce with soft bread and fresh coleslaw.

6. The Full Seafood Spread Was Easily Enough for Three People
♡ The Trio feels enormous once the seafood, rice, pasta, vegetables, bread, and sides fill the table.
The Boiling Crab Trio easily fed the three of us. The lobster, crab, and prawns were already generous, but the fried rice, pasta, bread, vegetables, sausages, mac and cheese, and cold sides made the meal feel even larger.
The rice and pasta were especially good for soaking up the sauce, while the pickled radish and coleslaw gave us a refreshing break from the rich buttery flavor. Everyone could build a different plate depending on whether they wanted more seafood, rice, pasta, bread, or vegetables.
For two people, the Trio may feel like a lot unless both are very hungry. For three adults, it felt generous without becoming impossible to finish. For more evening ideas nearby, read my guide to the best things to do in Seoul at night.

8. Don't Leave Without Claiming the Free Ice Cream
♡ One of the easiest freebies in Seoul if you are already planning to leave a review.

When we visited, customers who left a review on Google Maps or Naver Map received a free serving of Dippin' Dots-style ice cream. We showed the completed review to the staff and received it at the end of the meal.
The cold ice cream beads were refreshing after the buttery seafood, Cajun seasoning, garlic, and rich sauces. Promotions can change, so ask whether the review event is still running when you visit.

9. What To Do After Dinner Around Jamsil
♡ One reason I recommend this restaurant is that it is surrounded by some of Seoul's best evening attractions.

The easiest option is a walk around Seokchon Lake, especially after sunset when the weather cools down and Lotte World Tower lights up. The lake is only a short walk from the restaurant.
You can also explore Lotte World Mall for shopping, cafés, Olive Young, bookstores, and desserts, or visit Seoul Sky for nighttime views across the city.
For quieter streets, head toward Songridan-gil, where you will find cafés, bakeries, restaurants, and independent shops. If dessert sounds better, save my guide to Seoul's prettiest dessert cafés.

10. Is Show Me The Crab Worth It?
♡ It is not a cheap everyday meal, but the portions, staff preparation, and Jamsil location made it worth the price for our group.

Despite the ₩134,000 price tag, the Trio felt much more reasonable when divided among three people. The set included plenty of seafood, rice, pasta, bread, vegetables, sausages, mac and cheese, and refreshing cold sides.
The biggest reason I would recommend it is the preparation service. The staff made the crab, lobster, and prawns easier to eat, which meant we could enjoy more of the meat without struggling with shells.
If you are looking for a memorable dinner near Lotte World, Seokchon Lake, or Songridan-gil, I would happily recommend the Boiling Crab Trio for three people.
